At +rehab we ran regular hack weeks. A week to explore something new. No client. No brief. Just a question worth answering.

This one was about chatbots. Not the obvious stuff. Something more interesting. Something we could apply AI and machine learning to, learn from ourselves, use to educate clients — and if we were lucky, pick up some PR along the way.

We managed all of the above.

The question we landed on was simple.

How do you turn a chatbot into a powerful learning tool.

We had a week. So we needed something that could prove the idea without breaking us in the process.

The answer was simpler than we expected.

What if kids could talk to something that died out 65 million years ago.
